Nice Little Nest

Jul 15, 2023

We hold on to things “just in case.”

Now here’s an interesting thought.

We spend all of our 20’s and most of our 30’s trying to accumulate things.

We are told (and we tell ourselves) that “things” are important to our survival and that we need certain things to live. We get in the habit of saving and buying, saving and buying. We need this to cook, this to clean, this to entertain or be entertained, this to take care of the kids, this to organize our stuff or time, this to take care of the lawn, this to get from here to there and the list goes on and on.

Before we know it, we have accumulated a nice little nest of things.

Some more functional than others. Some more necessary than others. Some more practical than others. Most all of them were purchased with a purpose.

The things is, over time, our needs change, but we hold on to things “just in case.” We spend an enormous amount of time researching, searching, saving and buying. Letting things go, getting rid of hard earned things seems counterintuitive.

The trouble is, sometimes all of these things start to feel a little

heavy. They can get in the way of everyday life. They can end up being a burden.

In order to enjoy the things we really need, use and love there comes a time when we have to weed out some of the things we spent years accumulating. For some people, this can be a very freeing process, for others it can be a very difficult process.

Everyday Organized is here to help you sort through your years of carefully chosen belongings. I’ll help you make decisions about what to keep, what to repurpose, gift or donate. I’ll help you sort through the accumulation and

highlight the items that you love and want to be part of your everyday.

Making decisions can be hard - Everyday Organized is here to help.
