Before & After

Everybody loves a good before and after picture!

As you look through these photos remember that these are real homes with real people living in them.

Does it look just like a magazine to you? Probably not.

That's because people in magazines don't actually have full pantries or spring, summer, fall and winter wardrobes. They don't accumulate sentimental items or have real kids who produce endless art projects.

Real people actually work at their desks. They have lots of boardgames and shoes. They cook

in their kitchens and get dressed in their bedrooms. These are real people.

This is what EVERYDAY ORGANIZED looks like!

They cook in their kitchens and get dressed in their bedrooms. These are real people.

This is what

EVERYDAY ORGANIZED

looks like!

These kitchen cupboards were in

need of an overhaul!

The trouble was, the cupboards were narrow, the shelves far back and there were more items than space.

It took some weeding and re-homing of some items, but we were able to fit in what the client needs and uses.

By re-purposing storage baskets the client already had and taking advantage of the repositionable shelves, we were able to achieve this client's goals.

This basement storage area had a lot of potential!

There was already great shelving and lots of storage bins to choose from.

The trouble was, not everything was getting onto the shelves and not everything was organized in a way that made sense.

After a little planning, some sorting and weeding we were able to get everything in its place. We even had empty shelf space left over!

This client wanted to reclaim their kitchen countertops!

This cute kitchen was just waiting to be found under all the life-clutter.

The trouble was, not everything had a home and there were seldom used items taking up space.

After a little planning, some sorting and lots of weeding we were able to find homes for every plate, bowl, appliance and spice. The countertops reappeared and the client is so much happier in their space!

Papers cannot live on the counter forever!

With school-aged kids in the house it can be difficult to stay on top of all the papers!

The trouble was, the papers kept coming in the house and there was no place for them to go.

A simple sorting and holding station for incoming school work and a plan for the end of the school year had this paperwork under control all year long!

The hallway is not supposed to be a storage room!

This client, with a busy family, was tired of things blocking walkways and items piling up on the table and floor.

The trouble was, the panty was full, so the hallway was being used as a storage closet and random items needed homes.

A complete reorganization of an existing storage closet allowed space for the "hallway collection" and a system to collect random clutter was created to keep things off the table and floor.

This front foyer had unwelcome guests!

This pretty and inviting front foyer had great storage and room for everything that belonged in the space.

The trouble was, too many "things" were visiting the foyer and never saying good-bye! The closet was blocked and the out-grown shoes were taking up space.

By weeding out the unused items, making some calls asking family and friends to pick up their stuff and reminding the sports equipment it belongs in the garage, this lovely foyer was re-claimed, with space to spare.
