Be sure to stay on top of everything with a To-Do list
I add things I’ve already done to my “To-Do” list and then cross them out. . . I can’t be the only one.
Crossing things off a list has to be one of the most satisfying things in the world!
Yes, adding something just to cross it off does make the list longer, but it also shows me that something has been accomplished (even if it wasn’t something I originally set out to do). And something is better than nothing.
To-Do lists are often long, messy and not overly inviting, but they are an excellent and effective way to stay on top of things.
- Groceries lists
- chore lists
- shopping lists
- task lists
All of them help us break big, overwhelming tasks into smaller bite-sized ones. To-do lists help us prioritize our tasks and help to ensure that we don’t miss (or forget) anything important.
If you are looking to tackle any size organizing project, I always recommend that you start with a plan. And what better way to plan than to make a list!
- list the goals you have for your space
- list the materials you need to do the job
- list each task to be completed
Then go ahead and add things you’ve already done to the bottom, just so you can cross them off!
If you aren’t sure where to start with your next organizing project, big or small, get in touch. EVERYDAY ORGANIZED is here to help you reclaim your space, so you can get back to enjoying your everyday.
